While the Hub contributes a great deal to the health and well-being of seniors, Dustin Stephens Executive Director at The Hub and Bryn Stewart, president of the Hub board, talked to the community about a Proposed Senior Citizen Service District for the area. He mentioned the other counties and towns that have districts like the one proposed for Sheridan. Some of the districts run the senior centers, some are separate from the district. He said it would be similar to a fire district or a school district. There will be another community meeting tonight, August 6, at 6 p.m. at the Big Horn Women’s Club, all are welcome to attend and give their input on the proposed senior citizen district to provide services for the seniors in our communities.
