The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is inviting hunters to get ready for the upcoming hunting season with hands-on training from Game and Fish wildlife professionals. Beginning at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25 at the Casper Regional Office, Game and Fish personnel will give instruction on chronic wasting disease (CWD) and how to properly locate, extract, preserve, and submit lymph nodes from harvested deer and elk for CWD testing. Detection through hunter submissions is vital for Game and Fish to monitor disease prevalence and evaluate future herd management actions. For more information, visit the Casper Region Webpage or call the Casper Regional Office at (307) 473-3400. The training will be held in the shop area of the Casper Regional Game and Fish Office, 3030 Energy Ln., Casper.
