While his office has released two photographs of McConnell since his hospitalization, the Kentucky senator has not been seen in public. In a statement issued on July 12, nearly a month later, McConnell said he was hospitalized due to a fall that left him briefly unconscious. In that same July 12 statement, McConnell said he had been moved from the hospital to a rehabilitation facility to recover.
