The Parliament of Rwanda concluded on 4 August 2026 the Third Ordinary Session of the 2025/2026 Parliamentary year and went into recess. During the Session, Senators and Members of the Chamber of Deputies continued to fulfil their constitutional responsibilities of enacting laws, overseeing Government activities and representing citizens. During the same Session, the Chamber of Deputies passed 24 laws, including the State Budget Law for the 2026/2027 fiscal year. Members of Parliament also conducted nationwide oversight visits to assess agricultural productivity and submitted recommendations to improve the implementation of programmes supporting priority food crops, coffee and tea production. In her closing remarks, the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Gertrude Kazarwa, thanked Members of Parliament, Government institutions, non-governmental organisations and development partners for their cooperation throughout the Session.
