The Nao Santa Maria, an impressive full-scale replica of Christopher Columbus' flagship, has been docked in Whitehaven harbour since last Tuesday, July 28. Originally, the vessel was due to close to the public on Monday, August 10, and leave Whitehaven the following day. However, it will now leave on Monday, August 10 according to the man who coordinated the visit. Richardsons of Whitehaven posted on social media: "The Santa Maria will now depart Whitehaven at 10 am on Monday 10th instead of remaining open for the day. "Any tickets sold for Monday will be reimbursed so please contact them asap if you have any."
