Plans have been submitted for the change of signage at the popular Shills restaurant and delicatessen on South Street in Cockermouth. The application, which was lodged on August 4, was for a 'laminated diband sign tray illuminated', with the 'word "Shills" will be cut out and illuminated'. Shills is a popular restaurant and delicatessen which stocks cheese, wine, chocolate, and lots of other produce, as well as serving bistro-style lunches through the day and a tapas-style menu in the evening. The application was validated by Cumberland Council’s planning on August 4 and will now go through a consultation process with the authority.
