School Resource Officers and local law enforcement agencies monitored school zones and assisted with traffic to help ensure students arrived safely. Parents and motorists were reminded to exercise patience during morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal times by slowing down in school zones, watching for children and obeying school bus stop laws. The first day of school signals the beginning of a new chapter for thousands of Bossier Parish students as they prepare for another year of academic achievement, extracurricular activities and personal growth.
