According to a social media post from Harmon Field on Wednesday, the town has received reports that someone is using the names of town employees to solicit payments for events. “No one with the town will call or email and ask for money for events,” the post stated. “The only time we will email is to ask that you make arrangements to pay at Tryon Town Hall.” Officials said anyone reserving a space for the Harmon Field flea market should make payments directly at Tryon Town Hall.
