The Polk County Sheriff's Office held its annual Back to School supply giveaway Saturday, providing over 300 local students with essential supplies and other resources to start the school year prepared.
(Photo courtesy of PCSO)Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...PCSO holds annual back-to-school supply giveaway SaturdayCOLUMBUS—The Polk County Sheriff’s Office hosted its annual back-to-school supply giveaway Saturday, Aug. 1, at Polk County Middle School, providing hundreds of local students with the supplies they need for the upcoming school year.
A total of 308 students received school supplies, while 290 backpacks were distributed by Columbus Baptist Church.
The Sheriff’s Office thanked the 24 local agencies and organizations that partnered to make the annual giveaway possible.
Families who still need school supplies may pick up a limited number of remaining items at the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
