We've certainly seen some unbroken rules shattered this summer, and the salary cap seems to be more of an obstacle for some franchises than it is for others. The Vegas Golden Knights, and before them the Tampa Bay Lightning, found ways to massively exceed the salary cap enroute to their recent Stanley Cup victories. The Golden Knights are approximately $8.6 million over the salary cap, and the season begins in less than two months. While previous loopholes have closed, I think we know the Golden Knights well enough to expect that they'll have a solution. Two-pronged, given the playoff salary cap rules.
