The Jefferson County Attorney will not pursue criminal charges against the Louisville Metro sanitation workers involved in the February death of 35-year-old Tyrah Adams. A spokesperson for Louisville Metro Public Works said the department’s internal investigation is ongoing and officials are reviewing LMPD’s report. Instead, a worker at a nearby convenience store, which Adams stumbled into and then collapsed after the accident, called 911. LMPD’s report says a loud stereo inside the truck made the audio hard to understand, but one employee is heard saying, “They seem to be alright to me.” “At this point, they felt there was nothing else they could do but wait for their supervisor to arrive,” LMPD’s report said.
