Toyota electrifies Land Cruiser 300 with new hybrid flagship for South Africa

Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) has expanded its flagship Land Cruiser 300 line-up with the introduction of new petrol-hybrid derivatives, marking the first time the iconic luxury SUV has been offered with an electrified powertrain in the local market.
New exterior coloursAlongside the new powertrain, Toyota has refreshed the Land Cruiser 300 range with new exterior colours, including Magnetite Black and Classic White, as well as revised interior trim options across selected derivatives.
“The Land Cruiser has always represented the pinnacle of Toyota’s engineering capability, trusted by families, explorers, conservationists and businesses alike,” said Glenn Crompton, TSAM’s vice-president of marketing.
In South Africa’s large luxury SUV segment, the Land Cruiser 300 competes against a broad range of rivals.
Pricing for the new hybrid models starts at R2,287,700 for the Land Cruiser 300 ZX HEV, rising to R2,343,800 for the GR-S HEV.
