According to a July report released by the Planned Parenthood Action Fund and the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, nearly 30 health centers have closed since the organization lost federal funding under legislation signed during Trump's administration. Rodrigo also honored former Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards, encouraging supporters to continue advocating for reproductive rights despite political setbacks. Festival organizers say all net proceeds from the event will benefit organizations supporting women and girls, including Planned Parenthood.
