Flanagan won DFL endorsement for U.S. Senate at the state party convention in part by promising to raise taxes on the wealthiest Americans. Flanagan: “Repealing the tax cuts that are in the ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ or as I call it the Big Ugly Bill would be at the top of my list. Because in exchange for those tax cuts, it’s over a trillion dollars in tax cuts for the very wealthy; they make incredible cuts to Medicaid and to SNAP.”
