A former Ohio State University football player will be back in a Franklin County courtroom in October after a grand jury charged him in connection with an alleged choking assault on his girlfriend. Michael Roen McCullough, 25, is charged with strangulation, a third-degree felony, and domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor, according to Franklin County Common Pleas Court records. A grand jury indicted McCullough on Sept. 30. According to court records, McCullough and his then-girlfriend got into an argument around 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 28 while driving to their home.
