Northern Rail services in the North West are cancelled or delayed, with no trains or replacement buses currently operating due to the issue. In a statement this afternoon, Thursday, Northern said: "Due to a major power failure all lines in the North West are being heavily disrupted. "Services will be cancelled or delayed." Services across St Helens and the north west have been affected.
