Born in 1939 in Ipswich to Winifred and Frederick Hawkins, Ian grew up in Freston with his three siblings, James, John and Noel.
Ian Hawkins has died, aged 87.
From having worked all over the world and enjoyed an active, adventurous life, Ian now found himself confined to the house.
Ian Hawkins lived for many years in Bacton, after coming home from Jeddah.
Ian Hawkins died on July 22, aged 87.
