The annual Cartmel Show took place on Wednesday, August 5, at Cartmel Park with a full day of traditional farming displays, competitions, and family entertainment. Visitors enjoyed a packed programme of livestock classes, equestrian events, and rural sports. The show also featured terrier racing, a dog show, and a mounted fancy dress class. There was also Cumberland and Westmorland wrestling, as well as displays of vintage tractors and classic farming machinery. One of the highlights of the day was the mounted fancy dress class, a favourite with the crowd.
