BEMIDJI — The Lundin family from Beltrami County will be honored in August as one of 86 Farm Families of the Year. Michael and Jessica Lundin moved to their current farm in 2012 with no intention of turning the property into the farm it became. Today, the Lundins farm all of their field-grown crops on about one acre of land. Honored farm families cover a wide spectrum of farming, from traditional crops and livestock to community-based ventures and operations producing an array of fruit, vegetables and flowers. “This year's Farm Families of the Year reflect the impressive strength — and incredible variety — of agriculture in our state," said Extension Dean Bev Durgan.
