Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says the government is actively working for the safe return of Pakistanis detained by Israel from the Global Sumud Flotilla, especially former Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan. He was discussing the issues related to the Middle East Situation and Ceasefire in Palestine during a telephonic conversation with the Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman. Shehbaz Sharif assured that the Pakistanis detained from the Global Sumud Flotilla will be brought back home safely at the earliest. He emphasized the urgent need for a ceasefire in Palestine and an immediate end to the ongoing massacre of Palestinians, stating that Pakistan’s stance on the Palestine issue is firm and unambiguous. Both leaders also discussed the ongoing situation in Kashmir, with the Prime Minister affirming that the federal government will continue to play an active role in promoting peace in the region.
