Mike Gell, the founder of Mike Gell Jewellery on East Street, died on July 22, surrounded by his family. Over three decades, he became a cherished part of the community, creating both beautiful jewellery and lasting relationships with customers. Local residents and past customers have shared their fond memories of him. Maria Shurman reflected on her fond memories, saying: "I have such fond memories of Mike. Even though I may live thousands of miles away now, I always hold fond memories of sweet souls like Mike."
