Zoppa spent the last eight years of her life at the sanctuary in Sandown after being born in 2012 and kept in a Spanish circus. Wildheart Animal Sanctuary chief executive Lawrence Bates said: "Zoppa’s life perfectly captured why our Sanctuary exists. "Saying goodbye is incredibly painful, but ensuring that no animal suffers unnecessarily is one of the greatest responsibilities we have. "We are immensely proud of the life Zoppa was able to enjoy here, and grateful to our dedicated staff, supporters and visitors who helped make that possible.
