A major renovation of a popular Loch Ness site has been given the green light by Highland Council.
The Dores Inn is owned by the Danish billionaire Anders Holch Povlsen (inset).
Dores Inn, owned by Danish billionaire Anders Holch Povlsen, is set to undergo a huge transformation after the council's south planning committee agreed to grant planning permission at a meeting on Thursday (August 6).
The plans include the renovation and extension of the original 19th century Dores Inn itself to form a new, larger “boomerang”-shaped building.
Director of built development, Joe Dunn, added: “Dores Inn and the surrounding landscape have a distinctive character and are valued by many people.
