The A82 Inverness to Fort William road will be shut at night south of Urquhart Castle from Sunday, August 16 until the morning of Tuesday, August 25. Bear Scotland, which maintains the road for Transport Scotland, said the work wads for vital resurfacing works to be carried out. Euan Burnett, Bear Scotland’s north-west planned maintenance manager, said: “This resurfacing project on the A82 south of Urquhart Castle will address existing defects in the road surface and improve road markings, greatly improving the quality and safety for road users.
