House plans for a site near Nairn have been put on hold for the moment. Two proposals for construction of new housing near Nairn have been deferred. Seeking only permission in principle at this stage, both would have to be followed by full planning applications that received approval before any construction work could begin. The applications in their current form were recommended for approval when presented to the south planning applications committee today, but had attracted multiple objections from members of the public. In both cases councillors deferred a decision to allow for the council’s transport planning team to comment.
