It's reported the woman was hit by a Stevenage Borough Council vehicle near Tesco Express on the High Street. The East of England Ambulance Service confirmed paramedics were called to reports of a pedestrian injured in a crash. A spokesperson said: "One patient was transported to Lister Hospital for further assessment and care." In an update on Thursday (August 6), the force said the woman was checked over and discharged from hospital the same day. Stevenage Borough Council confirmed it was aware one of its vehicles "was involved in an incident".
