LAGOS, Nigeria — Anthony Adeniyi Adeosun, husband of Nigeria’s former Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, has died at the age of 62. C. A. Adeosun announced the death in a statement issued on behalf of the Adeosun family on Thursday, confirming that Anthony died in Lagos State on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. “He lived a life defined by hard work, service to God, and an unwavering commitment to his family and community,” the statement added. Anthony is survived by his wife, Kemi, his children and siblings, including Adewale Adeosun, founder of Kuramo Capital. The family expressed appreciation to those who had sent prayers, condolences and messages of support following his death.
