The Pediatric Oncology Department of the National Center for Maternal and Child Welfare has received a supply of medication for children undergoing chemotherapy, the department’s head, Sultan Stambekov, reported.
It is used in patients after chemotherapy, helping the immune system recover more quickly and significantly reducing the risk of severe infectious complications.
This allows children to continue treatment on schedule, reduces the need for hospitalization, and makes therapy safer and more effective.
For many of our patients, this medication is an essential part of treatment,» Stambekov posted on Facebook.
The savings will be used to purchase other essential medicines, enabling the hospital to help even more children.
