Spread the wordA legal practitioner, Mr Christopher Eichie, has said that corruption, weak institutions and declining ethical values remained majorobstacles to Nigeria’s development. Delivering a lecture, titled: ‘Creating Lasting Impact Through Leadership, Integrity and Service: A Nigerian Perspective’, Echie said. Leadership, integrity and service are inseparable pillars upon which enduring national development rests. Eichie attributed corruption and financial crimes to eroding ethical values, noting that integrity encompassed honesty, transparency, professional ethics, respect for the rule of law and prudent resource management. The lawyer further stated that governments alone could not transform Nigeria, urging ethical leadership across sectors.
