The MLB trade deadline has officially passed, meaning the playoff push can officially begin around the league. Luis Garcia Jr and Heliot Ramos do provide very good hitting against opposite hand pitching making them very valuable platoon bats. The Mets also held onto any players who would make this team competitive next year, like Lindor, Bichette, and their top pitchers. Instead of selling, they added a few extra arms, and swiped Adley Rutschman from the Orioles after a bidding war with the Yankees. The Red Sox really only needed a shortstop and a catcher at the deadline and now they've got a catcher for years to come.
