The Public Schools of Robeson County Board of Education has hired the North Carolina School Boards Association to help find their next superintendent. Students, parents, staff, and residents can now weigh in on what they want in the next leader, according to a statement from the schools. "Such statements should be submitted directly to NCSBA via e-mail at sthorp@ncsba.org and should be received no later than Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026." Input from teachers, families, students, and other stakeholders will guide how they hunt for candidates and make their final choice. Thousands of students attend schools across Robeson County.
