There are currently several ongoing construction projects at the N.C. State Fairgrounds, including renovations to the Holshouser Building, finishing construction on a new year-round food hall and events center and beginning construction on a new flower show building. The North Carolina State Fairgrounds is getting a makeover. The 2026 N.C. State Fair runs Oct. 15 through Oct. 25 at the State Fairgrounds in Raleigh. The Holshouser Building stands as one of three major projects at the site, serving fairgoers for decades before crews began updates in recent months. Once finished, the food hall and events center will stay open all year.
