Despite global uncertainty, New Zealand is proving to be a safe haven, according to Hotels at Colliers National Director, Nick Thompson. According to Thompson, New Zealand’s hotel investment market provides investors with a “stable environment for capital as geopolitical tensions continue to escalate around the world”. “With the war in the Middle East and other conflicts ongoing, the safety of New Zealand is hugely appealing for many, and this extends to those seeking investment opportunities,” Thompson said. “Many of our cities have their point of difference that will continue to drive hotel occupancy rates. The New Zealand International Convention Centre in Auckland is showing strong levels of event bookings from sporting events through to concerts and conferences,” Thompson said.
