About a decade ago, it was annexed into the City of Warsaw, but not all of the speed limit signs have a city ordinance to support them.
At a Warsaw Traffic Safety Commission meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 5, Public Works Director Dustin Dillon reported, “The request came in to lower the speed limit in Shadow Lakes subdivision to 25 miles an hour.
Dillon said the county had actually adopted the 25-mph ordinance for the subdivision and there were 25 mph county signs posted throughout the subdivision now.
He said they went out to the subdivision and checked on those, and now all the 25 mph speed limit signs are the city’s.
Dillon will get with City Attorney Scott Reust to prepare an ordinance for the city council to adopt regarding the speed limit in the subdivision.
