By Leah SanderInkFreeNewsAKRON – Ten years ago, Beaver Dam Community Church’s Wheels on Fire Cancer Crusaders held its first-ever Smash Out Cancer fundraiser in Akron.
Years before Wheels on Fire held its first Smash Out Cancer in 2016, the group participated in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life fundraiser.
Over the years, Wheels on Fire has raised around $500,000 for cancer patients, with more than $100,000 of that coming from Smash Out Cancer alone.
