News ReleaseKOSCIUSKO COUNTY – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana is seeking caring adults to become Lunch Buddies for elementary students throughout Kosciusko County. With a commitment of just one lunch hour each week, volunteers can provide encouragement, friendship and a consistent presence that helps a child thrive. The site-based Lunch Buddy program partners with elementary schools across the county, allowing volunteers to meet with the same student during lunch each week. “Sometimes all it takes is knowing someone is excited to see you each week,” said Tammy Smith, director of community development for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana. Volunteers are carefully screened, trained and supported by Big Brothers Big Sisters before being matched with a student.
