Ms. Ellen Estelle (Washburn) Netherland, formerly of Warsaw, peacefully entered eternal rest on Sunday, Aug. 2, 2026, at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha, Wis. She was 78 years young. In an era when raising a family alone was met with societal obstacles, Ellen faced every challenge with her head held high. Her greatest achievement was the vast, beautiful family tree she nurtured, serving as a proud matriarch to 19 grandchildren, 30 beautiful great-grandchildren and three sweet great-great-grandchildren. When she wasn’t caring for her family, Ellen was a lifelong learner. Ellen loved her children beyond measure, and they loved her fiercely in return.
