The Reedley farmer who gave away thousands of pounds of nectarines this summer may have to tear out his orchards. A Fresno County Superior Court judge ordered farmer Cesar Mora to remove his nectarine trees for a breach of contract, though Mora has appealed the ruling. The backstory: Mora made headlines in late June by inviting the public to bring bags and pick nectarines on his farm near Reedley. Giumarra responded by suing Mora for breach of contract, claiming the farmer sold the nectarines to another company after signing the agreement. In court this week: Giumarra testified in court on Wednesday, according to a report from the Fresno Bee.
