Within a vibrant studio, SAGE Studio & Gallery allows artists with disabilities to let their creativity flourish. Located in East Austin, SAGE strives to create more representation for artists with disabilities, according to the studio’s mission statement. Gross said she enjoys group shows for their ability to highlight SAGE artists as well as those from other studios. “Even if you’re somebody who frequently comes to our exhibitions, it’s new artists’ work that you haven’t seen and another way to support and expand the visibility of artists with disabilities,” Gross said.
