The Department of Justice is now offering $3 billion in “BIDEN” grants to help local municipalities recoup their losses incurred by Joe Biden’s destructive immigration policies. The municipalities that apply for the grants must pledge to work with federal immigration authorities as they carry out federal immigration policies. The jurisdictions that apply must agree to “fully participate” in the ICE 287(g) partnership that links local law enforcement to ICE and other federal immigration enforcement agencies. There are no other catches other than participation in the 287(g) program, and municipalities may spend the grant money however they wish. The DOJ reported that 181 cities have already applied for the grants.
