Thousands enjoy summer programme at restored Telford Town Park Amphitheatre

More than 4,000 visitors have gathered at the newly restored Telford Town Park Amphitheatre this season, turning out in force to enjoy a rich lineup of outdoor theatre, live comedy, and open-air musical performances.
Photo: Telford & Wrekin CouncilThe summer programme, which combines free community band showcases with low-cost, family-friendly theatrical productions, has quickly established the venue as a central hub for cultural life in the region.
Councillor Angela McClements, Telford & Wrekin Council Cabinet Member for Culture, Tourism and Leisure, welcomed the strong attendance numbers:“The response to the Amphitheatre’s summer programme has been fantastic.
Families and theatregoers can look forward to adaptations of classic tales including Treasure Island and The Tempest on 8 August, followed by a free band performance on 9 August.
Mid-month highlights feature an evening of stand-up comedy on 14 August, another free band showcase on 15 August, and a stage version of Peter Rabbit on 19 August.
