Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s young Wushu sensation Aanika Pattnaik has once again brought laurels to the nation by winning one silver and one bronze medal at the prestigious Batumi International Wushu Championships, held in Batumi, Georgia, from July 29 to August 4, 2026. Representing team India, Aanika delivered an outstanding performance against a highly competitive international field. She clinched the silver medal in the Sub-Junior Girls’ Single Weapon event before adding a bronze medal in the Wing Chun category, completing a memorable campaign with two podium finishes. They also lauded team India coach Pradyumna Behera for his dedicated coaching and invaluable contribution to the athlete’s international performance.
