Bethany Bilodeau’s rebound goal with under two minutes left sent Murray past Christian County 2-1 in the final preseason scrimmage for both teams ahead of next week’s start to the soccer season. Kaydon Coats began the scoring with a goal for Christian County seven minutes into the contest outside of the Stadium of Champions. Avery Ford found the net for Murray 16 minutes into the second half to knot the match at 1-1. Both teams saw shots hit the crossbar in the second half, keeping them from finding the scoreboard. Christian County, which went 3-0 at the Bluegrass State Games and finished 1-1 in the preseason, will play the school’s first official match next Thursday at Muhlenberg County.
