The Walt Disney Company is turning to TikTok in a bid to deepen fan engagement, announcing a global short-form content-sharing partnership that will bring creator-made videos inspired by Disney franchises onto Disney+. TikTok creators will also gain access to official assets from hundreds of Disney films and series, allowing them to create short-form content using approved scenes and moments. Alongside the content partnership, Disney and TikTok are launching a jointly run Disney Creator Ambassador Program aimed at supporting emerging creators. In tandem, Dawn Yang, global head of entertainment, TikTok said, "Creators are at the heart of everything we do at TikTok. The TikTok partnership builds on Disney's broader push to extend its brands beyond traditional entertainment touchpoints through strategic collaborations.
