Downtown Elizabethton will host the final First Friday of the season on Friday, Aug. 7, with an “Artsy Vibes” theme featuring entertainment, family-friendly activities and local shopping opportunities. This year’s First Friday events have featured four activity areas throughout downtown:Mobile Food Rally at Crossroads Craftworks: The food rally offers a variety of local food vendors, activities and live music. Play Yard on Armed Forces Drive: Formerly known as the Fun Zone, the area features free family-friendly activities and yard games provided by the Elizabethton/Carter County Public Library. Market in the Park at Covered Bridge Park: Hosted in conjunction with the Elizabethton Farmers Market, the area offers locally grown produce and handmade goods from area vendors.
