Former Nebraska forward Rienk Mast is among the 15 players on the Netherlands preliminary roster for this month’s FIBA World Cup Qualifiers announced this week. Mast, who last played for the Senior National Team in 2023, made the first cut from the original 24-man roster announced in July. Mast recently completed a stint in NBA Summer League with the Indiana Pacers, averaging 15.3 points and 9.0 rebounds per game in four contests in Las Vegas. The 6-foot-10 forward averaged 13.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game last season en route to earning All-Big Ten honors. Mast joins several former Huskers helping their nations qualify for the 2027 FIBA World Cup, including Thorir Thorbjarnarson (Iceland), Jack McVeigh (Australia) and Tai Webster (New Zealand)
