JAMESTOWN — An Oakes, North Dakota, native says he always knew he wanted to be a North Dakota Highway Patrol trooper. Alex Breitbach said he did a ride-along with a family friend who worked for the Highway Patrol. Breitbach is now living his dream as a trooper with the North Dakota Highway Patrol. Breitbach then joined the Jamestown Police Department in 2016 where he worked for four years before joining the North Dakota Highway Patrol. He said the Highway Patrol is also in charge of investigating criminal activity at the North Dakota State Hospital.
