Egypt and Chad agreed to deepen cooperation across a range of sectors during the 4th session of the Egyptian-Chadian Joint Committee, held on Thursday in the Chadian capital. Abdel-Aati conveyed President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s greetings to Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Déby and praised the growing momentum in bilateral relations. Transport Minister Kamel El Wazir reaffirmed Egypt’s support for infrastructure development, particularly the Egypt-Libya-Chad road corridor, describing it as a strategic project to boost regional connectivity and trade. Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar pledged continued medical support, including additional medical convoys, training for Chadian healthcare workers and expanded pharmaceutical cooperation. The session concluded with the signing of memoranda of understanding covering cooperation in health, culture, tourism and civil aviation, underscoring both countries’ commitment to expanding their strategic partnership.
