Four people died in a tragic crash on Wigan Road in Deane at the start of this year, with various collisions and other incidents reported there in the months since. Three men and a woman were arrested and bailed in connection with the Wigan Road crash after police raids across Bolton in early February. Further crashes on and around Wigan Road have been reported throughout the year since the deadly collision in January.
