This week, Shetland has much to be proud of. It is moments like these that make me the proudest to live in Shetland. While issues and debate increasingly threaten to divide us, moments like these should bring our community together. Now, we must work to prove to this generation and the next that Shetland is a place worth staying — a true place of opportunity and hope for the future. Our future is bright and prosperous, but only if we give the next generation the tools and encouragement they need to succeed.
